Instructions to Make Celtic Medallion Coasters


Supplies Needed

Vilene Wash A Way Stabilizer or Paper Solvy
Insulbrite or Timtex
Fabric
Thread
Spray Adhesive



Instructions:

1. Hoop at least three layers of Vilene or 1 layer Paper Solvy and fabric
2. Sew out Colors 1 and 2
Stop
Remove Hoop (DO NOT UNHOOP)
3. Place a sqaure of Insulbrite or Timtex on Table and spray with adhesive.
4. Adhere it to the underneath of the hooped design.
5. Replace hoop.
6. Sew Out color number 3 (this is the outline placement stitch)
Stop
Remove Hoop (DO NOT UNHOOP)
7. WITHOUT cutting into Vilene or Paper Solvy trim the top as close as possible to the outline.
8. WITHOUT cutting into Vilene or Paper Solvy trim the bottom as close as possible to the outline.
9. Replace hoop.
10. Sew Out color number 4 (this is the outline satin stitch)
Remove design from hoop.
11. Cut away the Vilene or Paper Solvy.
12. Take a warm sponge to dab around satin stitch..
13. Cover with pressing cloth and press.
